What do the pins mean?
Gold pins are the strongest places on the map: beautiful old villages or small towns with atmosphere, nearby amenities and a campsite or motorhome stop that fits this style of travel.
Dark purple pins are old villages and historic small towns that match the travel wishes well: characterful, calm enough, with food, a market or craft atmosphere and a place to stay within walking or cycling distance.
Green pins are additional beautiful places. They may be interesting, but do not yet meet every requirement or still need checking for distance, amenities, camping or practical use.
Choosing countries: open the Countries menu at the top. Use the round dots to turn countries on or off. For example, you can show France and Italy together, or only Portugal. All countries turns everything back on. If the map is zoomed out, tap a country once to show only that country's pins. Tap the same country again to show all countries.
Making a route: first tap a pin to open the place. Then press and hold that same open pin for about a second to save or remove it as a favourite. Once you have at least two stops, the map draws a blue route line in the order you added places and custom stops. Press and hold an empty spot on the map to add a custom stop. If there is a village within about 750 metres, that village is used as the stop; otherwise it remains a custom stop. Turn on Only favourites to view only your route; use Map at the bottom to return. The share link stores up to 20 custom stops.
